''Wise old extraterrestrials" are already monitoring our
development and are acutely aware of our present state of self-destruction. So
not only would any request by our species to join the "Galactic Club"
be "laughed off" it wouldn't even by acknowledged. As a matter of
fact, the last time I looked, our wise ETs had placed a "Dangerous
Species Warning" (DSW)
beacon in orbit around our planet. And the only thing about us that might be
illuminating to ETs is our lack of enlightenment. On "Judgment Day"
our musical, artistic, scientific, and intellectual accomplishments will all
pale in comparison to how cruelly we treat members of our own species, let alone
our planet and all its other life forms.'' |
